We finally have our own mailbox. I think it's the first unlocked, single-family mailbox I've had since I moved to Chicago ten years ago. It sits proudly at the end of my driveway, and when large packages come for me, the mail carrier brings them right up to my door! This is exciting for me because I love love love to receive things in the mail. It's like Christmas every time I open (um, tear into) a box. While I do receive the occasional, yet always lovely, gift in the mail, I usually create my own mail destiny by ordering stuff online. This month's loot was substantial, as boxes on my doorstep revealed two fun chairs (thumbs up for Brocade Home), a cookie bouquet (thanks mom), a spring gift, and other myriad delights. Yesterday's package was good, really good: some new fabric from Sew, Mama, Sew. And I'm a happy girl today.
